The other show that never was. A musical of To Kill a Mockingbird, which I wrote in 1970. We came very close to doing the show in Seattle with Don Murray as Atticus (we had several readings before readings were the rage). The date was booked, and then we all realized we'd better contact Harper Lee to see if she was okay with it. She wasn't and that was the end of that.
