He was totally open to my suggestions, material-wise, so I got some of my favorite film themes ever on those albums, including David Amram’s incredible Splendor in the Grass. And, I had quite a correspondence and phone relationship with Mr. Amram because of it (we later did his score to On the Waterfront, the Broadway play version).
